Job summary

Dunwoody College of Technology is seeking a part-time CSBT Student Worker to support faculty in the Surveying and Civil Engineering Technology program in a hands-on lab environment.

You will assist in Materials lab, help maintain tools and equipment, manage inventories, and support students during lab times. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and independent work ethic to help peers become proficient with power tools.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with hand and power tools, or willingness to learn.
• Excellent communicator.
• Self starter, willing to work independently.
• Student on campus (SCVL, SURV, PMGT, HVAC, CMGT, ELEC, ECDM).
• Desire to work with peers and help them get comfortable with power tools.

Responsibilities

• Support faculty in Materials lab.
• Help keep Materials lab clean and organized.
• Manage inventory lists.
• Support students during lab times.
• Maintain surveying equipment.
• Support faculty at Open Houses (typically 1x per month).
• Support classroom maintenance when needed.
• Make copies and file.
• Values safe working environment.
