Job summary

Poclain is seeking a Materials Technician for the 2nd shift to safeguard inventory accuracy and material flow across manufacturing and distribution. You will handle, store, track, and move materials, supporting production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key duties include receiving, inspecting, loading/unloading, operating forklifts, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring FIFO material issuance. Strong detail orientation and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in daily tasks.
• Proficient with basic computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, wash, pick, package, and ship materials per procedures.
• Load and unload trucks and coordinate dispatch activities.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory records in systems.
• Execute inventory transactions related to manufacturing, procurement and shipping.
• Manage Kanban processes and use FIFO method for material issuance.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Track and report scrap and material variances.
