Job summary

Poclain Hydraulics, Inc is seeking a Materials Technician to ensure the accurate flow, storage, and movement of materials within our manufacturing and distribution operations, while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will handle, track, and move inventory with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

You will receive, inspect, wash, pick, package, and ship materials; perform cycle counts; manage Kanban and FIFO; monitor inventory levels; and support 5S and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic computer proficiency for inventory systems and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, wash, pick, package, and ship materials per procedures.
• Load and unload trucks; coordinate dispatch activities.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory records in system(s).
• Execute inventory transactions related to manufacturing, procurement, and shipping.
• Manage Kanban processes and use FIFO for material issuance.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies.
• Track and report scrap and material variances.
• Maintain logs, documentation, and reports; support 5S and continuous improvement.
