Job summary

Flex-N-Gate Shelby in Michigan is seeking a Materials Supervisor to plan, organize and monitor production supplier parts, onboarding suppliers, contract setup (PO), releases, receiving, inventory management, storage and distribution to keep parts flowing to all departments.

You will supervise Materials Coordinators, coordinate inbound logistics, ensure CMS/MRP accuracy, lead cycle counts and the year-end inventory, and collaborate with quality, engineering and purchasing on cost savings and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field.
• Minimum five years in warehousing, receiving, shipping or materials management in manufacturing with 2 years of supervision.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically MRP modules.
• Strong PC experience with MS Excel and CMS/SpinFire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials department compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Supervise Materials Coordinators and planning of incoming raw materials and components.
• Coordinate inbound logistics to optimize manpower and floor space.
• Maintain CMS database accuracy and lead cycle count efforts.
• Lead year-end inventory and APQP/supplier onboarding activities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing and Packaging for cost savings and improvements.
