Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC's Pro Tapes NJ facility in North Brunswick, NJ, is seeking a full-time Material Handler to support production through efficient material flow and accurate inventory control.

Day shift, hourly pay $21.00-$25.00; safety-focused team environment; candidates should be able to operate forklifts and handheld scanners, read work orders, and work well with others.

Experience with HQMS and Sage 500 ERP is a plus; college is not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college a plus.
• At least 1 year factory-related experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks; certification desirable.
• Strong English communication and reading comprehension.
• Ability to read work orders and perform basic math.
• Maintain computerized inventory systems accurately.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility, using hand trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Use of a handheld scanner to track and locate all materials.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of assigned processes and equipment.
• Reports any process and equipment problems to the attention of upper management and/or the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Recognize non-confirming goods and to inform Quality Assurance Manager.
• Effective utilization of required systems, including HQMS, Sage 500 ERP/DSCS, and handheld scanners.
• Ensures established safety protocol is followed.
