Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a 1st shift Full-Time Material Handler in Texas to manage all material moves, shipping, receiving, and production support. The role requires operating forklifts, following safety policies, and performing documentation for inventory checks. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and a starting pay range with opportunities within the Caterpillar Production System. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of duties in Shipping/Receiving and Production Support.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively both oral and written.
• Ability to operate fork trucks and battery Raymond lifts.
• Basic math functions - add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Basic knowledge of measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Follows all applicable policies and procedures including safety and health.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
• Perform duties per standard work (takt time, work sequence, swip).
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITS).
• Complete required documentation and system transactions for material moves and audits.
• Physically move and prepare material and support production.
• Use andon to identify variance from standard work.
• Support CPS initiatives (5S, kaizen).
