Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Midland, TX is seeking a Material Handler I to load, unload and move materials on-site. You will stock deliveries, assist with orders and cycle counts, and follow standard work and risk assessments to ensure safe operations.

Qualifying candidates have 3–6 months related experience and forklift certification within 30 days; you will operate a handheld scanner and mark products with engravers or stamps as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience operating a forklift; forklift certification within 30 days.
• Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings.
• Ability to use hand-held scanner (inventory transactions) within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Unload, stock and inventory all deliveries.
• Assist with new orders and cycle counts.
• Read and understand standard work and risk assessments.
• Exhibits equipment and product understanding; counts, weighs, secures, tags, pallets, stacks materials and maintains records.
• Assist service operations with pulling and picking parts.
