Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee material inventory control and movements across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring timely delivery of parts to production lines from the Michigan City, IN plant. You will report to the VP of Operations and drive continuous improvements in warehouse layout and digital transformation efforts.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in material management, strong leadership, and experience with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics is required.
Graduate degree in a logistics- or business-related field is a plus.
CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, or CLT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage material inventory control, shipping and receiving, handling and storage to support production.
Identify opportunities to reduce transportation, storage, and handling costs.
Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, planning and quality to resolve material shortages.
Support digitization of material handling systems and AGVs/AMRs/cobots implementations.
Provide weekly schedules for direct reports and monitor overtime to stay within budget.
