Job summary

Abbott is seeking an entry-level Materials Management Associate I to support basic materials handling, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and restocking. The role operates under close supervision with clearly defined procedures to ensure timely material flow for laboratory, production, and operational needs.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7am-3:30pm. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, obtain forklift certification, and work in accordance with GMP standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include high school diploma/GED or associate degree in logistics, business, or related field.
  • Basic computer proficiency and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Forklift certification required or ability to obtain one.
  • Authorized to work without sponsorship in the specified country.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials; ensure accuracy and procedural compliance.
  • Operate site equipment including forklifts, electric jacks, cherry pickers and related machinery.
  • Restock lab supplies and fulfill internal material requests; move materials to designated locations.
  • Support inventory transactions and data entry in SAP/EWM; document receipt and shipment records.
  • Assist with packaging and outbound shipments; comply with DOT and IATA hazardous materials regulations.
  • Adhere to GMP guidelines and SOPs; escalate discrepancies per protocols.
  • Engage in cross-training and ongoing skills development.
