Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Madison, AL site to perform material handling, inventory control, and packing duties in a GMP environment. Responsibilities include receiving, labeling, storing, and delivering materials, operating forklifts and other site machinery, and ensuring accurate data entry in SAP/EWM.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, basic computer skills, and the ability to obtain forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and 1 year of relevant experience; or associate degree in logistics, business, or related field.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Operate equipment essential to job duties, including forklifts, electric jacks, cherry pickers, and other machinery specific to the site.
• Place goods in designated storage areas and restock lab supplies as needed.
• Fulfill internal material requests and deliver materials to appropriate locations.
• Support basic inventory transactions and data entry in SAP/EWM.
• Assist with packaging and preparing outbound shipments, including compliance with DOT and IATA hazardous materials regulations.
• Accurately document receipt, storage, and shipment records.
• Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines, SOPs, and safety requirements.
• Escalate inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or other issues per escalation protocols.
• Engage in cross-training and continuous skill development.
