Job summary

Voltava is seeking a Materials Intern in Michigan to support the Materials and Supply Chain team. You will gain hands-on experience in inventory control, material flow, and ERP/WMS systems while assisting with launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams, leveraging Excel to track flows, and contributing to daily plant operations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college, at least fourth year
• Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Admin, Business management, or related field

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate space constraint issues.
• Input into Excel spreadsheets the material flow of every part.
• Optimize material flow of every part.
• Assist with inventory management activities.
• Receive and process incoming materials.
• Utilize scan guns to track and manage material movements.
• Process material transactions in ERP and WMS systems.
• Support MGO and AMTS activities.
• Monitor material flow throughout the facility.
• Perform audits and cycle counts.
• Support launch builds and related material activities.
• Track and communicate the status of assigned tasks and projects.
