Job summary

ABC Supply Interiors, a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing and other building materials, is seeking a dependable Helper / Stocker for our New Castle, DE location. You will support delivery of materials from the warehouse to jobsites, following safety rules and ensuring materials are handled and presented neatly.

The role requires ability to unload, transport, and position materials, operate a forklift (training provided), and lift up to 250 lbs with

Qualifications

Knowledge of building material products is preferred.
Ability to unload, transport and position building materials as required.
Ability to follow all safe methods of transporting material from the delivery vehicle, including stairs/elevators.
Ability to be trained and licensed/certified to operate forklift equipment by ABC Supply Interiors.
Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist during shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures.
Accurately distribute and place specified building materials as indicated on the order ticket.
Examine and record material transported to/from the delivery site.
Verify and record the quantity and type of materials handled.
Ensure delivered product is neat, orderly, and presentable.
Clean up debris from the delivery process and dispose of it properly.
Operate forklift safely and efficiently; assist with delivery to customers or jobsites as needed.
