As a Materials Handling Tech I, your key role is to organize, track and deliver supplies that are vital to the success of the hospital. Ensuring that each room and floor is stocked and prepared for the next patient at all times, is an essential practice throughout the system.

DEPARTMENT: Material Management
SCHEDULE: Evening shift, 40 hours per week, 8-hr. shifts (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.). Weekend rotation requirement-every third weekend
Provides hospital and affiliated facilities with materials to the designated area in an expedient manner and maintains accountability of supplies distributed and services performed. Performs inventory checks to ensure adequate supply distribution management.
Heavy - This category includes physically intensive work such as lifting heavy materials (up to 100 lbs.), climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and working on uneven, slippery, or elevated surfaces. Employees must demonstrate strong motor coordination, balance, and spatial awareness to safely operate tools and equipment. High visual and auditory alertness is required, especially in areas with moving machinery. Emotional demands are moderate, focusing on hazard recognition, task accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Environmental exposures may include extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, loud noise, and mechanical hazards. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
