Minimum Qualification Requirements

1. Applicants must have had sufficient training and experience to demonstrate their ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Qualifications will be determined by comparing your application to responses to the Applicant Assessment Questions against the guidelines in the Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations, WS-6907 series.
3. To qualify, you MUST meet the Barely Acceptable level on both screen-out elements: (Ability to supervise) and (Aptitude for work with prisoners). You must receive at least half of the total possible points and provide detailed information on your resume to support your responses, demonstrating that you possess the experience and skills to perform the duties at the journeyman level. Failure to clearly identify skills equivalent to a journeyman may lower your score or render you ineligible.
4. The screen-out elements are critical for self-assessment and essential for satisfactory job performance.
5. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must specify the actual time spent in activities, such as hours worked per week.
