Job summary

OBE is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift to move, load, and unload glass and metal products throughout the plant, rotating through laminating stages to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

You will report to the Production Supervisor and should be a reliable team player looking to build a career with an industry leader. Prior production experience and safety awareness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a forklift and work around overhead cranes.
• Ability to read work orders and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and production standards.
• Regular attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Move glass and metal products safely from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Operate specialized equipment, including driving a forklift and working around an overhead vacuum-assisted 3-ton crane.
• Transport and rotate materials manually or with equipment through various phases of the laminating process.
• Read work orders and follow strict job standards for safety, quality, and production efficiency.
• Inspect product quality for visual flaws and ensure materials meet product specifications.
• Use a tape measure to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements accurately.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products, packages, and required paperwork.
