Job summary

RENK America in Muskegon, MI is seeking a dedicated Material Handler with strong inventory control and packaging experience to support production and shipping operations. Under supervision you will perform kitting, FIFO, and forklift tasks, maintain accurate material flow, and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma and the ability to obtain a PIV and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Kitting/picking for production builds as directed.
• ,
• Supply plant-wide production parts timely to machining and assembly areas.
• ,
• Maintain FIFO inventory control and put away consumables and production items.
• ,
• Rotate kit carts and support lines for production flow.
• ,
• Document kitting activities and internal movements.
• ,
• Verify material movements and inventory documentation daily.
• ,
• Audit counts and reconcile inventory to improve accuracy.
• ,
• Facilitate Kanban replenishments and shortages fulfillment.
• ,
• Maintain production line and warehouse material flow.
• ,
• Identify quality alerts and suspect/obsolete items.
• ,
• Communicate inventory alerts interdepartmentally.
• ,
• Carry out all material handling duties per procedures.
• ,
• Packaging and labeling experience.
• ,
• Follow safety training and work instructions.
• ,
• Other duties as assigned.

• Licensed to operate forklift and narrow-aisle stackers.
