Job summary

Senneca Holdings in Frederick, MD, is seeking an experienced Material Handler to manage the movement, storage, and control of materials across the facility. The role includes receiving shipments, verifying inventory, delivering materials to production areas, and maintaining accurate records to support production.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of material handler experience, forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and familiarity with ERP systems (Infor preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years related material handler or receiving clerk experience required.
• Experience with inventory control or inventory management.
• Basic math and recording abilities.
• Able to lift boxes and move pallets/crates.
• Prior forklift operation experience or ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Must be able to read and comprehend all documentation in English.
• Working knowledge of ERP computer programs; Infor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
• Receive shipments, verify packages according to orders and invoices, and sign paperwork.
• Unload packages from incoming trucks and inspect contents for damage.
• Contact supplier or shipper if issues identified and arrange returns or replacements.
• Label deliveries and allocate to designated locations.
• Maintain records and assist in inventory control by labeling and locating items.
• Locate materials by pulling and verifying against production orders.
• Deliver and open materials to work centers and maintain in-process inventory.
• Document material disposition and units shipped; maintain pre-use inspections on equipment.
