Job summary

Gulf Copper LLC in Port Arthur, TX, is seeking a Material Handler to support warehousing and inventory control. You will verify bills of lading, unload materials, and ensure all items are received and accounted for per documentation.

You will assist production by placing materials in designated areas, document discrepancies or damages, and coordinate with the Materials Manager to resolve missing items and ensure smooth receiving operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; some college/tech cert preferred.
• 0.5–1 year experience in warehousing, production, or inventory management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify bill of lading contains project number, unit number, quantities, and find (part) number.
• Assist with unloading materials from truck/barge and verify bill of lading matches the carrier's bill of lading.
• Assist with receiving materials when customer representative arrives.
• Receive all materials based on bill of lading and ensure they are accounted for.
• Assist production personnel with placing materials for each unit in designated areas.
• Document all parts on the bill of lading that have been received, including quantities and any damaged materials.
• Document missing items from the bill of lading and inform Materials Manager.
• Work with production personnel to compare materials on the bill of lading to drawings/part list.
