Responsibilities

• Examine the bill of lading to verify project number, unit number, quantities, and part number.
• Assist with unloading materials from truck or barge, ensuring bill of lading matches transport company records and materials are off-loaded and accounted for.
• Customer representative may assist with receiving materials.
• Receive all materials based on bill of lading.
• Assist production personnel with placing materials for each unit in designated areas.
• Document all parts on the bill of lading, including quantities and any damaged materials.
• Document missing items from the bill of lading and provide to Materials Manager.
• Work with production to compare bill of lading items to drawings part list.
