Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Wadsworth, OH is hiring a Material Handler to manage daily receiving, storage and shipping operations. You will sort shipments, locate parts, and maintain accurate inventory while supporting shipping to domestic and export customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, reliability, good communication, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Join a team that values safety, 5S, and LEAN practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must maintain a high level of quality and accuracy.
• Ability to stand on feet all day.
• Regularly lift up to 25lbs, intermittently up to 40lbs, and up to 75lbs with team lift.
• General computer skills.
• Daily attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Open, separate & sort shipments from suppliers.
• Put parts away from Receiving & assign part locators.
• Support inventory accuracy.
• Ship orders domestically and export; use shipping methods & carriers.
• Pick & fill customer orders; repackage & label goods.
• Pull, build packages, pack & ship products to customer orders; update inventory.
• Create & complete shipping paperwork (bill of lading, invoice, inventory transactions).
• Notify planning of part shortages.
• Operate pallet jacks & hand trucks to transport parts.
• Order consumables as assigned.
• Identify root causes with team and implement corrective actions.
• Keep work area neat using 5S and safety practices.
• Support LEAN activities; inform supervisor of safety needs.
• Follow OSHA compliance; be an effective team member.
