Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a reliable material handler to deliver painted units to the assembly area and return empty carts to the paint department. You will operate a tugger, manage inventory with RF scanning, and support both paint and assembly leads to meet department needs.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory, material handling, part picking, or similar position is preferred.
• Experience using RF scanning devices.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
• Basic counting, adding and subtracting.
• Good organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Tugger Driver Drive PIV that is pulling 2 large trailers that carries carts (4) with units and machines in them
• Inventory transactions with a handheld scanner
• Work closely with the leads in the paint department and leads in the assembly department to ensure needs are met for both departments
• Assist other material handlers in the Assembly department, working on the assembly line and assisting the paint unload team with organization of the units
• Maintain clean and organized work area and aisles
• Report safety concerns
• Support training of new team members
• Use of hand tools such as safety knife, prybar, and hammer
• Perform other duties as assigned
