Job summary

Afton Scientific is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate I to join our Materials team in Charlottesville, VA. This role supports manufacturing by receiving, inspecting, storing, and moving materials, while helping maintain accurate inventory and efficient warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates are organized, enjoy hands-on work, and seek experience within Afton's Supply Chain organization.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and a team-oriented attitude.
• Experience with warehouse processes and basic MS Office tools.
• Prefer experience with SAP or another ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against documentation.
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.
• Complete receiving and release documentation accurately and on time.
• Store, organize, and move materials to support operations.
• Perform inventory transactions, releases, and system transfers.
• Conduct cycle counts and participate in physical inventories.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and loading dock areas.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
