Colonial Group in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Material Handler I to move materials smoothly through production and maintain accurate inventory records.

You will operate a forklift, update location data in our systems, and assist with daily production scheduling to help ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes safety and lean practices, with opportunities for growth in a growing manufacturing environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year in manufacturing.
• Must read/write/speak basic English.
• Willing to wear PPE.
• 6S knowledge preferred; AS400/IMI Series experience preferred.
• Operate Class II Sit-Down Forklift, RF Scanner, Pallet Jack.
• Update data in MRP/supply chain software.
• Basic math skills (add/sub/mult/div).
• Strong safety awareness.
• Read production tickets or BOMs.
• Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a forklift to transport inbound and outbound materials within production cells.
• Update data within computer systems including location and inventory count.
• Verify material move requirements and check order status for daily schedules.
• Coordinate with supervisors or Material Handler II to resolve shortages.
• Report accurate counts of production parts and scrap.
• Assist with material requests and order components.
• Perform daily safety inspections of equipment and weekly battery maintenance.
• Follow safety guidelines and report concerns to management.
• Follow lean manufacturing to improve efficiency and keep area organized.
• Follow all safety standards and prioritize safety over output.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
