Job summary

Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company is seeking a dedicated Materials Handler to join our warehouse team in Oklahoma City. You will manage incoming/outgoing materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and support timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include receiving, packing, shipping, equipment operation, quality checks, and documentation while adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities; basic computer skills for inventory records.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials following procedures and safety guidelines.
• Record and update inventory levels in the warehouse management system and perform cycle counts.
• Pick, pack, and label materials to prepare shipments for delivery or pickup.
• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment; report malfunctions and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Inspect materials for quality and discrepancies; follow QC procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Prepare documentation such as receiving reports and inventory records.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist in training new team members and support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
