Job summary

DLA Careers is seeking qualified candidates for a Materials Handler role within the Defense Logistics Agency framework. Qualifications

• Ability to perform the work with minimal supervision, carry weights up to 44 pounds unassisted.
• U.S. citizen
• Background check with suitability/fitness determination
• Pre-employment physical required
• REAL ID or acceptable IDs for access to federal facilities

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads freight on or from trucks or other conveyances.
• Counts and verifies quantities of material on hand.
• Identifies freight using Government documents (GBL, DD1348, MMD, DCL).
• Operates material handling equipment (forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks).
• Performs count and damage record discrepancies and processes material to storage areas.
• May shovel snow, sweep areas, and perform site housekeeping as needed.
• May attend required training for handling all material types.
