Job summary

PROENERGY in Houston, TX is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within the plant and yard, handling shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials and supplies.

You will report to the Fabrication Supervisor and work at 8310 McHard Road, contributing to efficient operations and accurate paperwork while safely handling equipment.

Qualifications

• One year of shipping/receiving experience or equivalent.
• Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc).
• At least 2 years of experience working in a fabrication shop.
• Must be fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• US work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items and checks against records.
• Determines shipment method and prepares materials for shipping.
• Provides on-the-job training to lower level employees and resolves problems.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Delivers and returns items while loading/unloading trucks.
• Transports high-value equipment and secures cargo safely.
• Fills orders and issues materials per requests.
• Participates in ordering or purchasing standard stock items.
