GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Directs day-to-day operational activities within the Materials Management Area to meet the supply needs of the hospital, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by proactively responding to inquiries from customers, staff, and vendors.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage daily activities of the materials handling department, including prioritizing work, staff scheduling, and training new hires. (30%)
2. Coordinate staff and resources according to organizational policies, procedures, standards, audits, and regulatory requirements. (20%)
3. Develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, customers, and support departments to facilitate communication, address needs, and improve services through customer education and planning. (20%)
4. Conduct staff performance evaluations. (10%)
5. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and regulatory standards. (10%)
6. Handle customer inquiries effectively. (10%)
7. Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• High school diploma or GED, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience/training, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5-7 years of materials handling experience.
• Thorough knowledge of supply chain principles, warehousing, and inventory control.

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of leadership experience.
