Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Material Handler to support production and packing on demand lines, assembling trays, lids, feed tapers, palletizing and configuring gift orders for expedited processing of customer orders. The role involves building pallets, ensuring QA and vendor compliance, stacking pallets, and reading SKUs to sort products for loading.

Ability to communicate with employees at all levels is essential; attendance must be reliable.

Qualifications

• Basic reading (English) skills.
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (peers, leadership & employees).

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets
• Support the shipping line with a constant flow of product or removal
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/SKU of box to prepare it for loading
• Perform other duties and works in other departments as assigned
• Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance
