Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Material Handler in Kentucky to support production and packing on demand lines. Responsibilities include palletizing, sorting by SKU, maintaining quality standards, and assisting shipping for a smooth flow of orders. High attention to attendance and teamwork is required.

Ideal candidates will have some high school education and basic reading skills, plus ability to communicate across levels within the team. This is a frontline labor role on site.

Qualifications

• Basic reading (English) skills.
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (peers, leadership & employees).

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support the shipping line with a constant flow of product or removal.
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/SKU of box to prepare it for loading.
• Perform other duties and works in other departments as assigned.
• Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
