Job summary

Kelly Services seeks a Material Handler in Paton, IA to receive, move and ship materials, operate forklifts and keep a safe, organized workstation. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, prepping shipments, and maintaining records. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork.

The position runs 6:00 AM–4:30 PM on Monday–Thursday with overtime possible on Fridays. A HS diploma or equivalent and basic math and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent or 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing.
• A valid driver's license.
• Good attendance.
• Ability to use basic math to analyze information and measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work with close tolerances.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes.

Responsibilities

• Receives, checks, assigns locations, stores and/or delivers material throughout the factory.
• Operates power driven equipment to move materials and tools.
• Loads, unloads, moves, stores, and/or delivers material and parts.
• Prepares parts for shipment, including packing and paperwork.
• Prepares production setup kits and tooling per written instructions.
• Sorts, checks, counts, and expedites material and tools.
• Receives and verifies goods returned from dealers, branches or customers.
• Handles cleaning supplies, coolants, fuels, etc. as part of the job.
• Keeps required records for work performed.
• Moves and positions loads; performs other duties to support the team.
• Cleans work area and performs other duties inherent to the job.
