Job summary

Komori America Corporation in Rolling Meadows, IL is hiring a Warehouse/Material Handler to ship, receive, inspect, and organize materials, maintain accurate inventory, and support ERP and WMS operations. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, move items between receiving, storage and shipping areas, and cooperate with other departments.

One to two years of related experience is preferred; forklift certification is required or will be provided.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years related warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Order processing systems and ERP and WMS systems.
  • Forklift Certification; will be certified on Sit Down and Reach Truck
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping orders and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the warehouse and everything associated with operations.
  • Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Records number of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Uses computer to enter records and process transactions.
  • Preparing materials for shipping
  • Maintains inventory and other transactions records, including filing and document preparation.
  • Maintains and utilized related material compliance and safety records.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet company and customer needs.
  • Need to go above and beyond expectations; willingness to learn the business

Job description

Summary: Shipping, receiving, inspecting all materials, inventory, organizing and store materials in designated location, basic computer functions on ERP, operating forklifts, pallet jacks and any other material handling equipment and have communication with other departments and following above duties.
