Job summary

RealTruck in Old Hickory, TN is seeking a Materials Handler to support receiving, stocking, and inventory control, primarily using powered industrial trucks. You will verify items against POs and packing slips, move materials to where they are needed, and maintain accurate warehouse records.

You will also train teammates, perform cycle counts, label and dispose or restock items as appropriate, and ensure a clean, safe workspace in accordance with company procedures and transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling and warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Proficient in receiving, put-away, and cycle counting.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Materials Handler will perform tasks associated with the material handling process at RealTruck, including receiving materials, stocking, and inventory control, primarily using powered industrial trucks.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Load and unload raw materials from trailers; verifies accuracy against PO and packing slip.
• Receive material deliveries, verifies items and quantities to PO, and acquires proper paperwork.
• Efficiently moves materials to and from point of use, ensuring product quality is maintained.
• Responsible for accurate takeaways or replacements of racks and totes.
• Ensure product is properly labeled with part number, name, and quantity; rotates stock as needed.
• Receive returned product; verifies warranty status; updates WMS; prepares product for disposal or return to stock.
• Maintain accurate inventory; conducts cycle counts; transfers product in system; investigates and resolves variances.
• Train other employees, maintain a clean and safe workspace, other duties as assigned.
• Operate a company vehicle in accordance with established traffic and transportation procedures and laws.
• Communicate effectively with all departments and supervisors/leads.
