Job summary

Five Star Holding in Houston, TX seeks a Material Handler to ensure smooth material flow on the production floor. Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, storing raw materials, preparing materials for production, and supporting machine operators with setup and changeovers.

You will maintain inventory records, perform cycle counts, follow GMPs/HACCP, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred, especially with flexible plastic packaging.
• Experience operating pallet jack is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store raw materials used in bags and pouch manufacturing.
• Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition identified in the workplace.
• Prepare materials for production, including loading materials onto machines.
• Monitor material supply levels and coordinate with other departments to replenish inventory.
• Assist machine operators with setup and changeovers by supplying materials and removing finished products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems and conduct regular cycle counts.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure material handling activities comply with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with production team members to optimize workflow and meet production schedules.
