Job summary

DARRAN is seeking a Material Handler at the High Point, NC facility. The role involves receiving, moving, and organizing materials using a forklift, coordinating with expeditors, and ensuring timely staging to keep production flowing.

You will inspect incoming materials and assist with plant readiness. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and minimum 2 years furniture experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be trained and qualified to operate a tow motor (forklift).
• Minimum 2 years furniture experience preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings and route sheets in detail.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move materials using forklift and by hand as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor and expeditors on critical items for timely staging.
• Work with expeditors to check materials in/out of plant and notify SCM of issues.
• Inspect stains/colors upon receipt and notify supplier if adjustments are needed.
• Maintain pump room organization and inventory on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Order materials and swap out spray guns; perform other duties as assigned.
