Job summary

BD is seeking a Material Handler to transport, organize, and supply materials supporting production at our Sumter, SC facility. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, performing safety checks, and maintaining inventory using SAP and Apriso.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED; forklift experience is preferred (6–12 months). You will participate in cycle counts, ensure material readiness for production, and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred (6–12 months).
• Must follow safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand truck or forklift to supply materials to production.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks and complete safety checklist.
• Maintain Kanban and ensure material availability for production lines.
• Verify materials upon delivery for correct LPs, item, count and condition.
• Requisition materials from warehouse using SAP and/or Apriso.
• Move finished goods pallets between areas and assist with case packing as needed.
• Contribute to cycle counts and physical inventories using Apriso and SAP.
• Keep work area clean and organized and document batch information.
