Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Water Strider Team Lead to keep production moving at our South Chesterfield, VA facility. You will oversee material flow and ensure timely delivery of parts to the production line.

In this onsite leadership role, you’ll implement Just-In-Time strategies, coordinate with operations, and promote Lean continuous improvement to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Material Logistics: Optimize material flow by creating Just-In-Time routes and timelines.
• Operational Support: Interpret work orders, requisitions, supply demand documents, and bills of materials to identify required parts and tools.
• Communication & Alignment: Act as a focal point in the material flow process, collaborating with operations and assembly personnel to clear hurdles and keep production on track.
• Lean Leadership: Promote Lean initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts within your team to refine floor processes.
