Job summary

Lex Innovations in Shelton, CT is seeking a Waterspider (Full-Time) to support production flow and ensure timely, organized material availability. The role reports to the Warehouse Manager and emphasizes lean principles, accuracy, and proactive communication to maintain inventory and production efficiency.

The Waterspider will participate in 5S, visual management, standard work audits, and ISO/AS9100 initiatives while handling BOMs, ERP entries, and cycle counts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in material handling, kitting, inventory control or production support within a manufacturing environment (electrical/mechanical parts preferred).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting BOMs, work instructions, and inventory transactions.
• Strong knowledge of Kanban systems and ERP/WMS systems.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production workstations are stocked with correct materials and components per BOM, avoiding overstock or shortages.
• Actively kit materials for upcoming jobs and record all product in the ERP system.
• Perform inventory transactions and material movements in the ERP system for real-time control.
• Collaborate with kit inspectors, area supervisors, and line leads to resolve material discrepancies.
• Support Kanban replenishment systems and stock rotation.
• Perform cycle counts and participate in root-cause analysis for variances.
• Act as communication link between warehouse, production, and materials teams to address shortages or delays.
• Assist with shipping and packaging and ensure ERP issuance of products.
