Job summary

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. in Tennessee is seeking a Material Coordinator for 1st shift. You will ensure material flow to production lines, pull and place materials, and perform SAP transactions using a barcode scanner.

You will move QA Hold material, assist with shipping/receiving, rotate stock, and keep inventory organized, while maintaining a safe, clean work area and training on new equipment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED and one year manufacturing experience.
• SAP proficiency required.
• All transactions performed according to internal procedures and specifications.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for material flow to all production lines as directed.
• Material for production to be pulled and placed as required.
• Make all SAP transactions to account for material accuracy (using barcode scanner).
• Move QA Hold material from production lines to QA assigned locations.
• Pull and package material being sent to suppliers.
• Coordinate and communicate with receiving clerks to provide the manufacturing areas with requested materials - support receiving as needed.
• Rotate stock as required.
• Organize stock for efficient retrieval and placement.
• Assist Shipping/Receiving as needed.
• Continuous training on new equipment or processes within job scope and based upon additional assignments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks to move materials
• Manager inventory by conducting cycle counts and inventory audits
