Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a qualified Material Coordinator to ensure smooth material flow to production lines and accurate SAP transactions. The role requires readiness to operate forklifts and cranes and to work within a safety-focused team.

Key duties include cycle counts, inventory audits, stocking, coordinating with receiving, and supporting shipping/receiving while maintaining a clean, compliant work area and continuous training on new processes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED and one year manufacturing experience.
• SAP proficiency required; all transactions performed according to internal procedures.
• Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed for job functions.

Responsibilities

• Material flow to all production lines as directed.
• Material for production to be pulled and placed as required.
• Make all SAP transactions to account for material accuracy (using barcode scanner).
• Move QA Hold material from production lines to QA assigned locations.
• Pull and package material being sent to suppliers.
• Coordinate and communicate with receiving clerks to provide manufacturing areas with requested materials.
• Rotate stock as required.
• Organize stock for efficient retrieval and placement.
• Assist Shipping/Receiving as needed.
• Continuous training on new equipment or processes within job scope and based on additional assignments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks to move materials.
• Manage inventory by conducting cycle counts and inventory audits.
