Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Corvallis, Oregon, is seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to join our Analytical Development Team. You will perform analyses on materials, inks, and components using analytical instruments to support R&D, product development and manufacturing, communicating results to Engineering and partners with good lab practices.

You will generate high-quality data and reports, manage lab priorities with the SFT LIMS system, and help develop procedures while mentoring others

Qualifications

3+ years of demonstrated Analytical or R&D lab technician experience.
AA/AS degree in chemistry, metals, materials, physics, computers, electronics or similar technology, or equivalent combination of education and job experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment with continuous change, fast-paced program schedules, and urgent timelines while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize work.
Ability to work closely with technician teammates and engineering business partners to meet lab goals.
Ability to learn/operate advanced instruments in a non-routine fashion including set up, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Ability to apply skills and understanding of the fundamentals involved in material sciences.
Ability to act as an expert on one or more instruments and protocols.
Gain experience in mentoring and training laboratory personnel.
Knowledge of routine laboratory procedures and equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality data and detailed reports within negotiated delivery dates.
Use SFT LIMS to manage task requests and priorities.
Develop and document operating procedures; support quality systems.
