Applied Medical Technology, Inc. in Ohio is offering a Materials Co-op in the Engineering department. The role emphasizes hands-on experiments using tensile tester, DSC, rheometer, FTIR, and microscopy, with exposure to polymer chemistry and materials science.

You will work under the Engineering Manager, in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, plan and analyze experiments, and gain experience with Minitab and DOE.

Qualifications

• Completion of college general chemistry with lab is required.
• Organic chemistry course is a plus.
• Undergraduate or master's students will be considered.
• Previous hands-on related experiences from co-op and research will be a plus.
• Exposure to the basic statistical concept is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, analyze, summarize, and present various experiments involving tensile tester, DSC, rheometer, FTIR, and microscopy.
• Learn fundamentals of chemistry for silicone rubbers, silicone adhesives, polyurethane, silanes.
• Get acquainted with Minitab, data analysis, and design of experiments (DOE).
• Work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
