Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an engineer to join the materials and validation team, focusing on qualification and characterization of materials used in GE Vernova wind turbine blades. You will collaborate with design and sourcing teams to improve materials and address field and plant RCA issues, contributing to reliable blade performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in materials science engineering or related field and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop, characterize, improve, and validate materials used in wind turbine blades.
• Collaborate with design, sourcing, and cross-functional teams to qualify cheaper or new materials.
• Lead small testing/validation programs and document results to support consensus.
• Provide instructions to shop technicians for test specimens and part fabrication.
• Assist in introducing new materials into global production facilities.
• Contribute to RCA resolution for material-related issues.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering or related field

Ability and willingness to travel globally up to 10% of the time
