Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a materials engineer to conduct hands-on laboratory testing and failure analysis for flight hardware and raw stock materials in Redmond, WA. You will help develop next generation materials to improve satellite performance and collaborate with external vendors on process control and new product opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in materials engineering, metallurgy, materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2 years of experience with materials selection, testing, and processing/fabrication methodologies such as casting, stamping, coating, cleaning.
• Experience with prototyping and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on laboratory testing and failure analysis of flight hardware and raw stock materials.
• Develop next generation materials to improve satellite performance.
• Work with external vendors to establish process control and identify new opportunities for product development and improvement.
