H. T. PROF Group in the United States is seeking a Materials Engineer – Product Development to advance products using thermoplastics, thermosets, composites, coatings, and metals.

You will oversee concepts through production, gaining hands-on polymer processing, part design, and failure analysis experience. The role involves developing formulations, coordinating prototyping, testing, and pilot runs, and working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience with plastics, polymers, materials, product design, or plastics processing.
• Knowledge of thermoplastic and thermoset materials, testing, and failure analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new products, materials, and components.
• Support product design from concept through commercialization and production.
• Develop polymer formulations and evaluate material performance.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, validation, and pilot production.
• Conduct and interpret thermal, mechanical, and chemical testing, including FTIR, DMA, DSC, TGA, and tensile testing.
• Troubleshoot design, material, tolerance, and manufacturing issues.
• Participate in supplier selection, tooling, and cost evaluations.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional design reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide product training.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and suppliers.

Position Summary

Our company is seeking a Materials Engineer – Product Development to support the development and commercialization of products utilizing advanced materials, including thermoplastics, thermosets, composites, coatings, and metallic alloys. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects from concept through production, gaining hands‑on experience in polymer processing, plastic part design, materials development, testing, and failure analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new products, materials, and components.
• Support product design from concept through commercialization and production.
• Develop polymer formulations and evaluate material performance.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, validation, and pilot production.
• Conduct and interpret thermal, mechanical, and chemical testing, including FTIR, DMA, DSC, TGA, and tensile testing.
