Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies seeks an Engineering Specialist - Materials Engineer to support HLW vitrification design and fabrication. You will analyze materials, develop specs, resolve quality issues, and ensure coatings, welding, and metallurgy meet standards.

The role interfaces with engineering, EPC groups, and design authorities to deliver robust material solutions and technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience performing calculations and design related to waste processing facilities.
• Ability to review material specs and ensure code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as residing material technology expert to the WTP project.
• Complete reviews and tasks following procedures with technical adequacy.
• Coordinate with groups to resolve issues and revisions to material specs.
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders and coordinate with technical disciplines.
• Complete assigned tasks within budget and schedule.
• Support nuclear safety quality culture in day-to-day work.
