Radiant is seeking a highly motivated Materials Engineer to join our El Segundo team. You will plan and execute materials testing, develop manufacturing processes, and provide expert guidance on material selection for Kaleidos components.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/MS in Materials or Mechanical Engineering, with hands-on lab experience and a background in data-quality evaluation. Graduation is planned for 2026/2027, and the role emphasizes collaboration with design and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with materials testing and data analysis.
• Familiarity with testing and evaluating material properties.
• Experience in a lab or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute materials testing to obtain material properties.
• Develop and qualify manufacturing processes for metals, ceramics, composites, or polymers.
• Provide guidance in materials selection for Kaleidos components.
• Identify, procure, and operate equipment for materials characterization and testing.
• Evaluate data quality and accuracy for the materials database.
• Define or improve manufacturing processes to achieve desired properties.
