Job summary

The PAC Group in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Materials Engineer for a short-term assignment to act as a technical partner for Design Engineering, focusing on materials characterization, benchmarking, and test work to deliver decision-ready specs.

You will drive specification closure, coordinate with Manufacturing Leadership, Design Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, and translate engineering requirements into manufacturing-ready specifications that align with process development.

Qualifications

• BS in Materials Science/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on materials engineering with composites and coatings.
• Experience with vendors, specifications, and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Advance specification closure with open material specs and owner assignments.
• Evaluate material equivalents and support test plans with suppliers.
• Define criteria to drive quality and manufacturability on the shop floor.
• Collaborate across Manufacturing, Design Engineering, and Quality.
