Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a hands‑on Materials Engineer in Irwindale, CA to drive fluoropolymer development from concept through production. The Senior role partners with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver material solutions and robust documentation.

You will quickly contribute by building prototypes, testing compounds, and scaling successful concepts to full production while supporting ongoing improvements and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of fluoropolymer experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, mix, and test fluoropolymer compounds for electrical and fiber‑optic systems.
  • Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and equipment teams to implement new material solutions.
  • Build prototypes and scale concepts to full production.
  • Create clear technical documentation including test plans, reports, drawings, BOMs, procedures, and specifications.
  • Partner with suppliers to source materials and services.
  • Support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Details
