Job summary
RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC) in East Hartford, CT seeks a Research Engineer in the Chemical Sciences Discipline to advance materials development and electrochemical systems research. You will synthesize, manufacture, and evaluate advanced materials for RTX applications, including coatings and catalysts, within an interdisciplinary RTX team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience operating safely and independently in a research lab.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication with leaders and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, Matlab, R, LabView).
Responsibilities
- Join an interdisciplinary team focused on innovative chemical engineering and chemistry research projects.
- Collaborate with RTX units, universities, national labs and startups.
- Conduct synthesis, manufacturing and evaluation of advanced materials for RTX applications (coatings, catalysts).
