RTX RTRC is seeking a Research Engineer in the Chemical Sciences discipline, focusing on materials development and electrochemical systems. You will contribute to synthesis, manufacturing, and performance evaluation of advanced materials for RTX applications.

The role offers collaboration with universities, national labs, and startups, applying interdisciplinary chemical engineering and chemistry research to real RTX challenges.

Qualifications

• Typically, a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related technical field.
• Previous experience operating safely and independently in a research laboratory environment
• Ability to execute on multiple projects on a given day and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with leaders, team members, and researchers from other disciplines
• Familiarity with advanced data analysis or collection software tools (e.g. Python, Matlab, R, LabView)

Responsibilities

• The Research Engineer will be part of an interdisciplinary team focused on innovative chemical engineering and chemistry research projects at RTRC.
• In addition to working with RTX business units, the team collaborates with universities, national labs, and startups.
